There’s a conservative blog and facebook page ran by two women that I used to follow and had actually enjoyed some of their commentary, but recently, I found myself rolling my eyes more and more after reading their posts. Most of it was filled with “who can shout the loudest” type of rhetoric filled with language that teenagers use to try to win arguments while mature adults just sigh and ignore them. So I stated my opinion and left them with a passage of scripture, Hebrews 12:11-16 with verse 14 highlighted (they claim to be Christians). Their response? They deleted my comment and banned me from the facebook page. Which… just kinda proves my point.

I wish I would have saved a copy of my comment, but I can at least share the same passage of scripture:

11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
Hebrews 12:11-16

In the end, they’ve created nothing but an echo chamber and won’t really do anything for the cause of America. Nothing gained, so nothing lost.

    Most of us have that on our bucket list, I think – that’s something you can check off 😉
