This past weekend, I renewed my account with my current hosting company, and I couldn’t be any happier. They changed my package, changed my main domain name, gave me 4 times as much space and transfer for only $4 more, and all without any hiccups or problems.

Is this a shameless plug for my affiliate link to >Web Hosting Buzz? Yes it is. Am I lying about their customer service just to entice you to buy from them? Absolutely not. Time after time, their billing and tech reps have given me awesome service that has far exceeded any other company I’ve ever used. This does come from a company that appears to oversell their services, and I’m really not an expert when it coems to making that judgement call, but I can tell you from experience, that the last two years that I’ve been with them, have been great, and I don’t forsee me ever changing.

This is what I get for just $40 a year ($3.33 a month):

  • Free Domain for Life
  • 2,000 GB Disk Space
  • 20,000 GB Data Transfer
  • Unlimited:
    • Email Accounts and other email features
    • MySQL Databases
    • Subdomains
    • Addon domains
    • Parked Domains
    • FTP Accounts
  • MySQL 4
  • PHP 4+ and PHP 5
  • Daily and Weekly Backups
  • A plethora of other great services and guarantees

This is a special SitePoint or Smashing Magazine subscribers special, so I’m really not sure about the availability, but you can ask!

I also did some work for them a few years ago creating their business card and stationary design when they had a different logo than their present one, and they are really top notch guys. They offer live support, and have a really useful blog and forum.

Besides their great support, one of my favorite things is how easy it is for me to host all of my websites through one account, and also have all of my main domains point to my main website. So go on over and check them out, you’ll be glad you did.
