Let’s get something settled once and for all. I love the WeFunction Icon sets. I have loved them since their first free release, to the first premium release, and the most recent set that includes a calendar icon really rocks my world. They have even thrown in a batch of social media icons for dessert. However, for a project I am working on right now, I needed an icon for Yahoo’s Upcoming. So I put one together and tried to match the Function set as close as I could. It’s not exact, but it’s good enough that It looks okay along side of them.

So here it is, feel free to use it if you want, just right click and save. As with Function’s free icon sets, a link back is nice, but not necessary.

At first I didn’t like it because the font made it stand out from the WeFunction icon set. After looking at the Upcoming site, I see you used the font from their site which make sense.

Instead of using the font from the Upcoming site, how about using the ‘Y’ from the Yahoo! logo?

nice work. I like the icon a lot. I’ve got a couple I had to create for various other sites and should probably post them up. I’m downloading your icon now just in case it ever becomes a need. nice work 🙂

Very nice icon, fits perfectly into the style of our other icons, and i really love how you’ve used the various sets in your site here. Very nice to see them used so well!

Thanks, Liam. That really means a lot coming from you. I love the icons, they are the best I’ve come across, and being a designer, I have spent many hours scouring the net for good icon sets.

Feel free to include it in your set, or link to it or whatever you’d like to do. I almost can’t take the credit since it’s merely an attempt to copy the work that you have already done so well. 🙂
