You can create multiple shopping lists, manage what’s in your pantry, and keep track of other lists as well. This can be done from your device or from the web and then it syncs automatically to the other location.

I personally found this app useful as we were planning a family vacation. I was able to create a shopping list separate from my normal grocery list for items we needed just for the trip. Then we created a to-do list for all of the attractions we wanted to be sure to see each day. I also love being able to sit at my computer and create a shopping list that syncs automatically to my husband’s phone as he’s out at the store.

My favorite features:

Barcode scanning for shopping and pantry items

Easily move items from one list to another

Keep track of items you’ve added before and their prices

See a running total of the total cost of your shopping items

A beautiful interface on both the mobile and web versions

How to Win

The developers have been oh so generous to offer me a free lifetime upgrade to the pro version, plus 5 more to give away! This is a simple Twitter contest. All you have to do is retweet the following:

I don’t want to run @outofmilk or forget _____ again! RT to win a free lifetime account http://t.co/E872xuf via @tammyhart

Fill the blank with something a great to-do list app would help you remember. Don’t forget to follow me on twitter so I can contact the winners with the instructions for obtaining their prize.

Use this button to tweet: Tweet

Rules

Only one entry per person will be counted. You must include the exact text above except the replacement of the blank space. No inflammatory or derogatory remarks will be counted as an entry.

I am very proud to announce that one of my original WordPress themes has been accepted into the WordPress theme repository. I have been designing custom WordPress themes for over three years now, and I have done a couple free ones along the way, but this is my first time to have one in the official repository.

Fifty Fifth Street is a simple, greyscale theme that follows a nice grid system, and keeps typography in top priority. It’s a great theme for the minimalist in you, or for those that like to start with a blank canvas when customizing a free theme for their own needs. Every last pixel was counted and perfected, and the grid is very strictly kept.

Get the theme

You can install the theme from your WordPress admin, or you can download it here. Demo the theme on my own testing site.

If you like the theme, please be kind and give it a star rating. Feel free to leave any support questions here at this blog post, and I will do my best to help you. Enjoy!

If you are a twitter user, you have probably noticed that either a lot of people have turned leprechaun, or if you are in the know, you know the green avatars are in support of the Iranian protesters fighting for their votes. This is all thanks to a programmer that has built a one click tool for turning your avatar green.

This is a really great cause, and I give props to him, but for some people, (namely me) their avatars looked a little creepy being all green. A few people have branched out and changed some of the things in their avatar to green, and this works pretty good. But if you would like to show support for Iran while keeping your avatar tasteful looking, then you might be interested in doing what I’ve done, and that is to just overlay it with a green ribbon. Not only does this show your green support, but it tells people the green isn’t just because when you get angry, you grow super human muscles and turn green, but that you are supporting a cause. So here to the right is the ribbon that I threw together quickly, and you can feel free to use it as well.

Let’s get something settled once and for all. I love the WeFunction Icon sets. I have loved them since their first free release, to the first premium release, and the most recent set that includes a calendar icon really rocks my world. They have even thrown in a batch of social media icons for dessert. However, for a project I am working on right now, I needed an icon for Yahoo’s Upcoming. So I put one together and tried to match the Function set as close as I could. It’s not exact, but it’s good enough that It looks okay along side of them.

So here it is, feel free to use it if you want, just right click and save. As with Function’s free icon sets, a link back is nice, but not necessary.
