Tammy Hart Designs

WordCamp Miami 2011

It’s time to kick off another year of great WordCamps. I don’t have as many on my wishlist this year, but we’ll see where the road takes us. There’s a lot of change coming up soon in how Tammy Hart Designs is going to work, so keep watching here for updates on that.

Don’t Forget the Milk: Handing the client a site they can use

This is the topic I have been given the opportunity to speak on this year at WordCamp Miami. Think of it as a kind of sequel (or SQL for you punny geeks out there) to last year’s topic, WordPress & Working with Clients. The most frequently asked question I’ve received since this topic got so much excitement stirred up is, “How do you prepare your client to use the website?” Here’s a teaser paragraph:

The time has come to let the client take the driver’s seat. But do they know how to drive a stick shift? Are there too many buttons on the dashboard? Are you going to get phone calls every time they forget how to create a new post?

In this session, Tammy will offer tips and advice to make sure the client and the website are ready for the next step.

One of the plugins that I highly recommend using comes from my Sponsor, VideoUserManuals.com. In addition to funding my trip to Miami, you can click that link for a huge 31% discount! I am so grateful for their generosity and am very excited to share with you how their video manuals plugin can take an entire day of work off your schedule, not to mention a laundry list of other benefits.

If you’re ready to learn the best ways to make the client transition and maintenance a success, you don’t want to miss my session.
